On Saturday, March 8, coinciding with International Women's Day, a nationwide 24-hour strike will disrupt key sectors across Italy.

Organized by unions such as Usi-Cit, Slai-Cobas, Cub, Usb, and Adl Cobas/Clap, the strike begins at 9 PM on Friday, March 7, and ends at 9 PM the following day.

Public and private transport, education, and healthcare are among the affected sectors.

Train services, including Trenitalia and Trenord, will operate only during limited guarantee periods, while urban transport disruptions are expected in cities like Genoa and Naples.

Air travel will also face delays, with flights restricted to specific time slots.

Schools and universities will see widespread closures as teaching and research staff join the strike.

Travelers and commuters are advised to check schedules and plan ahead to minimize inconvenience.
