During the 25th anniversary of the Osservatorio Giovani-Editori, President Sergio Mattarella addressed students, emphasizing the importance of constitutional limits and the separation of powers.
He described his role as an 'arbiter' who ensures that all state organs respect their boundaries, highlighting the principle of checks and balances.
Mattarella acknowledged that he has promulgated laws he personally disagreed with, underscoring his duty to uphold parliamentary decisions unless they are clearly unconstitutional.
He also warned against relying on the internet for medical advice, following the tragic death of Margaret Spada, and stressed the need to critically assess information to combat fake news.
