Published: 2024-11-04

In Rome, the Italian government is gearing up for a crucial phase in the approval of the new Budget Law.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has issued a strict directive to her deputies, emphasizing the urgency and importance of the process.

Deputies are limited to submitting a maximum of two amendment proposals by Wednesday, as communicated by Tommaso Foti, the leader of Fratelli d’Italia in the Chamber of Deputies.

Meanwhile, the Budget Committee in the Chamber has commenced hearings, which will continue until late evening.

These sessions include discussions with environmental groups like Legambiente and WWF, as well as various professional, entrepreneurial, and consumer associations.

The deadline for submitting amendments is set for November 11, marking a critical period for legislative negotiations.
