Italy's Economy Minister, Giancarlo Giorgetti, has announced significant reforms in the upcoming budget plan.
The government aims to make permanent the tax cuts for low-income earners and family support measures.
Additionally, funds will be allocated for public sector contracts and healthcare.
To finance these initiatives, the government plans to revise property taxes, particularly targeting properties that benefited from the Superbonus.
Giorgetti also mentioned the introduction of a temporary windfall tax on companies that have profited from favorable economic conditions.
Despite a downward revision of the 2024 GDP forecast, Giorgetti remains optimistic about future growth, emphasizing the plan's ambition and realism.
