Italy Wins Medals on Day Two of Olympics

Published: 2024-07-28

Italy shines on the second day of the Paris 2024 Olympics, securing two medals in shooting.

Federico Nilo Maldini won silver and Paolo Monna took home bronze in the men's 10-meter air pistol event.

The spotlight now turns to fencing, where Italy's flag bearer Arianna Errigo, along with Alice Volpi and Martina Favaretto, competes in the women's individual foil.

In men's fencing, Davide Di Veroli, Andrea Santarelli, and Federico Vismara are set to take the stage.

Additionally, judo star Odette Giuffrida aims for gold after previously winning silver in Rio 2016 and bronze in Tokyo 2020. However, the triathlon training session was canceled due to concerns over water quality in the Seine, raising worries among athletes about the competition conditions.
