The Italian government has officially extended beach concessions until 2027, following a decree discussed in the Council of Ministers.
This decision aims to resolve ongoing European infringement procedures by balancing market openness with the rights of current concession holders.
The extension allows time for new tenders to be organized by June 2027. The European Commission has welcomed this move, highlighting constructive dialogue with Italy.
Meanwhile, the reform of the fuel network, which includes green energy initiatives, has been postponed for further discussion.
