The Italian Senate has approved the government's omnibus decree with 98 votes in favor, 66 against, and one abstention.
The decree, which must be passed by the Chamber of Deputies by October 8, includes several significant amendments.
Key changes involve a special tax settlement for taxpayers participating in a biennial preventive agreement, extending compliance deadlines for certain VAT subjects.
Additionally, measures to combat TV piracy, particularly in sports, have been strengthened.
The decree also increases funding for the psychological bonus and simplifies the disbursement of PNRR funds.
A new Christmas bonus for low-income employees and support for the swine industry affected by African swine fever are also included.
