High-speed train services between Milan, Bologna, and Florence have been severely disrupted due to ongoing technological upgrades.
The delays, initially 60 minutes, have now extended to 90 minutes, affecting many travelers.
The disruptions began early Sunday morning near Piacenza due to a technical fault.
Italian Rail Network technicians are working to restore normal service, with some trains rerouted to conventional lines, adding up to 30 minutes to travel times.
The situation highlights ongoing challenges in Italy's rail infrastructure, with increased traffic and frequent faults becoming more common.
