Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni took a brief respite from her official duties at the G20 summit in Brazil to explore the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro.
Accompanied by her daughter Ginevra and Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, Meloni visited the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, capturing selfies with local tourists.
Giorgetti, donning a Flamengo jersey, shared light-hearted conversations about football with President Lula.
Despite travel challenges, including a necessary fuel stop in Cape Verde, Meloni arrived in Rio, where she engaged in discussions about the Italian community's impact on local tourism.
