A tragic explosion at the Toyota Material Handling factory in Bologna has led to the indefinite closure of the facility, affecting 850 workers.

The incident, caused by a malfunctioning heat exchanger, resulted in the deaths of two employees and injuries to 13 others.

The factory is now under investigation, with charges of manslaughter and serious injury being considered.

In response, the company has suspended all operations, including remote work, and initiated a 100% income coverage plan for affected workers.

Psychological support will be provided upon the factory's reopening.
